Pumpkin waffles. Baked pears. Or maybe fresh-from-the-oven muffins. These are just a few of the many ways the Joshua Grindle Inn says good morning. The complimentary full breakfast starts the day off right for exploring the village of Mendocino, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1879, the inn offers accommodations in three different buildings along its two-acre property. Each room, decorated in early-American antiques and pine furnishings, is the toast of the town. And the parlor, with its cozy fireplace, makes this one very well-rounded getaway.
